Mountain Biking Himachal - Jalori Pass (3223 mt)

Day 01 : Arrive Delhi.

Meeting and assistance on arrival and transfer to Hotel. Overnight at hotel.

Day 02 : Delhi-Chandigarh by Shatabdi Express (dep 0740 arr 1105 hrs)
Chandigarh-Nalagarh by surface (65 km, 2 hrs drive)

In time transfer to railway station to board train for Chandigarh. Meeting and assistance on arrival and drive to Nalagarh. Overnight at Nalagarh Fort.

Day 03 : Nalagarh-Manali by surface (255 km, 10-12 hrs drive)

Manali is- 1896 m above sea level and situated at the northern end of Kullu valley, is a picturesque little town, and is the most popular place in Himachal Pradesh. It is typical small town bustling with activity during the summer season. Around Manali, nature has lavished the region with forests, waterfalls, green slopes rivulets and souring snow-covered mountain peaks. Manali also boats of a Mountaineering Institute, which imparts training in Mountaineering, Skiing and other adventure activities. Overnight at hotel / resort.

Day 04 : Manali-Solang Valley-Manali (26 km)

Morning check out the bikes and briefing about the tour. Afterwards bike to Solang Valley. It is uphill ride from Manali to Solang. In the evening explore the Manali Town. Overnight at hotel / resort in Manali.

Day 05 : Manali-Naggar-Kullu (42 km)

Biking to Kullu via Naggar on left bank of Kullu Valley. It’s a level ride to Naggar, the capital of Kullu Rajas until AD 1660. The ancient castle, now converted into a tourist Bungalow, over-looks the entire Beas Valley. Nicholas Roerich, the famous Russian painter and philosopher lived here and his quaint little house has been converted into a small museum. At Naggar, visit Naggar Castle and Roerich art gallery. Overnight at Hotel / Resort.

Day 06 : Kullu-Larji (34 km)

Morning explore temples of Kullu and afterwards bike to Aut along the river Beas. Enroute visit Old Shiva temple at Bajaura. On arrival set up a camp. Overnight in tents.

Day 07 : Larji-Shoja (38 km)

Today we ride along the river Tirthan upto Banjar. Up to Aut it’s a level ride and thereafter a soft ascend upto Banjar. From Banjar an ascend to Shoja. Shoja village is surrounded by a dense forest (2683 mt). Overnight in tents.

Day 08 : Shoja-Kahnag over Jalori Pass (3223 mt) (29 km)

Start after breakfast. The road ascends gradually up to Jalori pass (3223 mts). From the top we will take a trail to the left which takes us to a crystal clear SEROLSAR LAKE which is 5 kms from the top of the pass. Return back to Jalori pass and follow descend to the village of Khanag (1700 mt). On a clear day one could see the beautiful mountain ranges from the top of the pass. On arrival set up a camp. Overnight in tents.

Day 09 : Khanag-Narkanda (2708 mts) (55 kms)

After breakfast continue the ride through level/ descending road down to Lhuri. At Lhuri we cross a bridge over river Satluj to the other side. From Lhuri it’s a level ride up to Sainj where we join National highway no. 22 and continue further to Narkanda. Gradual ascend of 33 kms from Sainj takes you to Narkanda. On arrival set up a camp. Overnight in tents.

Day 10 : Narkanda-Shimla (2205 mts) (64 kms)

From Narkanda it’s a level road all the way to Kufri. At Kufri we take a diversion on to left and visit a mini Zoo famous for Himalayn Bears. Return back to Kufri and continue descend from Kufri to Shimla. On arrival check in at hotel. Evening explore the down town.

Day 11 : Shimla-Chandigarh by surface (110 km, 3 hrs)
Chandigarh-Delhi by Jan Shatabdi Express (dep 0915, arr 1335 hrs)

Early morning drive to Chandigarh railway station to board train for Delhi. Meeting and assistance on arrival and transfer to hotel. On arrival half day city tour of Old and New Delhi. Evening free to explore the local market.

Overnight at hotel.

Day 12 : Leave Delhi.

In time transfer to airport to connect flight back home.

The given cost includes:

• Hotel accommodation in Delhi on twin sharing room plus breakfast basis.
• Hotel accommodation in Nalagarh, Manali, Kullu and Shimla on twin sharing full board basis.
• Tented accommodation on twin sharing full board basis using large Swiss 10 feet x 10 feet tents with cots and mattress.
• Arrival / departure transfers and sightseeing in Delhi using air conditioned mini coach.
• Transfer from Chandigarh railway station to Manali and from Shimla to Chandigarh railway station using non ac medium coach.
• Support vehicles to carry the camping gear, camp staff and equipment.
• Support vehicle during the biking to carry extra bikes, spares, luggage and to carry to sick or tired bikers.
• All camping gear including two men tents, kitchen, dinning tents, toilet, bath tents, camp chairs, tables etc.

• Train fare Delhi-Chandigarh-Delhi by air conditioned chair car.
• Light refreshments during the biking.
• Portage if luggage and bikes at railway station and hotels.
