Kinnaur and Kailash Trail![]() Himachal Pradesh is the ideal place to enjoy both winter and summer sports all through the year. It literally means the " Land of snow " but can also be refered to as the '' Land of Gods ". It enjoys a unique position in the Indian Himalayas. Nature here is both sublime and beautiful , rugged and harsh , from the green meadows to the fertile valleys of Kangra and Kullu to the barren valleys of Lahoul and Spiti on whose rocky slopes not even a blade of grass grows. Kinnaur, the land of fairy tales and fantasies, has a spectacular terrain of lush green valleys, orchards, vineyards snow-clad peaks and cold desert mountains. The border district of Himachal Pradesh, Kinnaur is also rich in flora & fauna and its culture and language is different from other parts of the state. Kinnaur, the tribal district of Himachal Pradesh, is about 250 km away from Shimla, the capital of Himachal Pradesh and is situated on the national Highway No. 22 (Hindustan Tibet Road). The landscape of the area varies from the lush green orchards of the scenic Sangla Valley to the stark magnificence of the Hangrang valley. The massive snow clad ranges that provide a regal dignity to the scene are dominated by the peak of Kinner Kailash, at the lap of which is located Hotel Kinner Kailash. Kalpa is one of the biggest and beautiful villages of Kinnaur district. This is a wonderful trek in Kinnaur circuits The revered Kinnaur Kailash mountain. Kinnaur was forbidden to trekkers till a few years ago consequently these trails have been less used and over explored last about two centuries ago. The Kinnaur Kailash Range borders the Disctrict of Kinnaur in the south and is dominated by the Kinnaur Kailash (6349 Mts) and Jonkarden (6473 Mts) peaks. The only pass on this trek is the Charang La at an awesome altitude of 5300 Mts above sea level .The trek is challenging and also rewarding for experienced trekkers. ^^ TOP ^^ Itinerary:Delhi-Dharamsala-Bathad-BashleoPass-Sarahan-Thangi-Lambar-Charang-Laltani-Chitkul-Sarahan-Shimla-Delhi Day 01 Arrive Delhi.
